Dr. Sonja Lang – the linguist known for having created the philosophical language toki pona – in 2021 contacted me to illustrate her upcoming book, a comprehensive dictionary of toki pona compiled by herself.
I had already worked with toki pona earlier: that is the language in which I created my fist comic series "Nasin Nasa", I am personally a fan of the constructed language myself.
Therefore, I very gladly accepted the commission. The collaboration with Sonja resulted in a set of 42 illustrations that now enrich the book and the toki pona community.
